At Karimar we have very strict guidelines that we require for bitches inquiring about using our males. Some is done to protect the breed as well as the reputation of our stud dogs, some is to protect our dogs while your girl is here or to protect her during her stay with us. Incredibly enough (after the FOURTH request in one week), we now, sadly, find it necessary to state: YOUR FEMALE MUST BE A PUREBRED and OF THE BREED YOU ARE INQUIRING ABOUT BREEDING TO!!! We DO NOT breed or condone breeding MUTTS! ALL females must have the following certifications: 1: OFA/PennHip Certification (or applicable for country of residence) 2: Elbow certification (for Labradors). 3: CERF/ACVO exam within 8 months prior to breeding (this way the exam will be valid when puppies go to their new homes). 4: Cardiac clearance (for Labradors). All females coming to stay must ALSO have the following: 1: Negative heartworm exam within one year. 2: Negative fecal within 30 days. 3: Negative brucelosis and results letter. 4: Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine within 4 months. 5: Current vaccination record and a copy of rabies certificate.
We also require a copy of your females AKC (or other legitimate registration body) registration certificate and a minimum 3 generation pedigree. If semen is to be shipped we will require photos to determine acceptable breed "type". With a natural breeding we guarantee 2 live puppies at birth and with shipped semen we guarantee 2 live puppies on breedings done by an accredited veterinarian.
